Another soccer season...done!

The VIPERS!

He's smiling!

Waiting his turn.
As we close another soccer season it is nice to look back and remember all the torture (I mean the wonderful experiences) we went through during the season. It is hilarious to watch these kids play because the soccer ball comes halfway up their shins. The best part about Matthew playing soccer is that the boy never quits smiling as he runs up and down the field! We can be screaming from the sidelines to run faster, and "get in there!" and he just smiles so big and goofy. It's great! That is how all little kids should feel during a sport. I am so grateful to Jenna and Nikki for volunteering their time every week to hold practices and coach these scatterbrained kids how to play soccer. GO VIPERS!!

A Preview...

I can't believe it has almost been a month since my last entry!!! I am officially a blog slacker :) Anyway, my delay has mostly stemmed from a crappy computer. I cannot get the pictures off my camera to my computer, and so I have had to resort to doing the things the "old fashioned way" and go get them put on a CD at Walgreens and Costco. Anyway, here is a preview of what is to be coming: Soccer, my house on lock down, three performances, a birthday party, a graduation, and a 911 call. Oh yes, it's good. To be continued...

The Golden Ticket

So after 2 years and 3 months I am finally authorized to be a counselor for the school district. I am not, however, done with school. Oh no, I have to continue to go to school until November! It does not matter that I have secured a job and will be employed by the district. It does not matter that I have complete 280 hours of in school internship hours (which is all that is required in Nevada to be a school counselor) It does not matter that I am so tired of going to school. I have to complete internship hours to oficially earn my master's degree. Aside from that, because I have those 280 hours done I went to the Department of Education, paid my $50 dollars and got an endorsement on my license. That little receipt (my golden ticket) is all the school district needs to have to hire me. Ridiculous, I know!!! Bright side... only 5 months left, and I'll be getting paid during my second internship. Hooray!

21. Who asked who out first? I was engaged when I met Derek. So after that ended we started hanging out a lot with his other roommates. We would both invite each other to do stuff. He was dating other girls, I was dating another guy too. He asked me to be official on December 10th 1997.

"The Fishes One"

My dad came over for dinner Sunday night because my mom is out of town. In the reflection of our back sliding door it looks like we have the neighbor's dogs in our yard. Upon closer reflection we realize that they are still, in fact in the neighbor's yard. So I recount a time over conference weekend that the kids were going to go outside in the backyard and they realized two of the neighbor's dogs were in our yard. The boys start arguing about which dogs they were and Kaia says, "There's Blackie, Linda, the fishes one, and the mom dog." My dad and I look at each other and then at Kaia and say, "The fishes one? What's that?" She said, "you know the really mean one." Zack says, "Ohh the vicious one." Kaia says, "Yeah the fishes one."
----So cute!!!
